2010 Raffle Gun

This year The American Pistolsmiths Guild raffle will be for a pair of S&W model 25’s for two lucky winners. The first winner has the choice of which gun. One is a fancy fully engraved showpiece engraved by Brian Powley and the other is a more subtle “shooter”. Both revolvers feature model 29 heavy, full underlug barrels. The barrels have been re-bored to .45 cal by Jim Dubel of Delta Gun Shop. Both barrels have been shortened to 4” the ribs have been narrowed to match the frames, recrowned, and Weigand Interchangeable sight bases installed by Scott Mulkerin of SDM Fabricating. Both feature SDM Gold bead front sights. The triggers and hammers of both have been color case hardened by Doug Turnbull of Turnbull Restorations. The engraved revolver has Ivory grips handcrafted by Roy Fishpaw, the other has fancy checkered walnut grips with ivory insert by Keith Brown. The Engraved gun has an SDM Fabricating semi adj. rear sight and thumb latch, the other has a Bowen Classic Arms adj. rear sight. Hamilton Bowen of Bowen Classic Arms Corp. was the ring leader on this project and did the barrel re- marking, cylinder chamfer, action and barrel tuning, final assembly and rich deep bluing. They are truly a sight to behold. Many thanks to these fine craftsman !

The raffle will be officially announced in the July/August issue of American Handgunner. ( mailing 4-28 ) Don’t miss your chance to get in early on this tremendous opportunity. A limited number of tickets will be printed. When they are gone, they are gone. The drawing will be held on Sept. 15th 2010 or when all tickets have been sold. You do not need to be present to win. Raffle tickets are $20.00 ea.
