2007 U. S. FIREARMS RAFFLE GUN The 2007 American Pistolsmiths Guild raffle gun is a United States Firearms (USFA) single action donated by the Gary Granger, Vice President Of Sales in exchange for advertising and exposure. It is chambered in 45 Colt caliber with a four and three quarter inch barrel. The gun is “in the white” and completely polished out to a 1200 grit finish ready for engraving and finishing. This fine single action is a black powder style with the hammer checkered in the appropriate 1880's style, the base pin held in place with a retaining screw, black powder chamfer on the front of the cylinder, and the serial number stamped with the appropriate font style on all parts. This is a first class single action army model ready for a small amount of work in the talented hands of a few members of the American Pistolsmiths Guild. The work you do will be showcased in a double page, four color spread in the American Handgunner magazine with a description of the work you accomplished. The double page layout will be designed by Ishiro Nagata the world renowned firearms photographer and associate member of the Guild. The advertising value is valued at around $8,000. The following is suggested work you might like to volunteer to do. When you are done you can send an invoice to Jim Stroh the American Pistolsmiths Guild treasurer. It would be appreciated if you can offer some discount for your labor in exchange for the advertising you will be receiving. The American Pistolsmiths Guild 2007 presentation gun is an exquisite work by the worlds finest pistolsmiths. The base single action was furnished by Doug Donnelly of United States Firearms in Hartford, Connecticut. This is the finest single action Colt reproduction made today; is a machined from solid bar stock and expertly fitted and finished by master craftsmen at the USFA facility. Custom work was performed on this fine six-gun by some of the finest custom pistolsmiths in the firearms industry today. Hamilton Bowen, Ron Power, and Alex Hamilton performed mechanical, machine and hand work on internal and external surfaces to create a one of a kind single action which will increase in value as time passes. The grips were cut from a solid block of exhibition grade French walnut and beautifully fitted by master grip maker, Roy Fishpaw of Lynchburg, Virginia who can be reached by phone at 1-434-993-3470 . The engraving and perfectly executed gold inlay was performed by master engraver Brian Powley. The names of all the workers are engraved into this fine collectors gun which will enhance the value of this piece for scores of years.
