2004 RAFFLE GUN FN BROWNING HIGH POWER (Caliber 9 X 19) (Serial # 511mz506652) Dear Member The 2004 American Pistolsmith Guild raffle gun will be a Browning High Power made by FN in Herstal Germany. The Guild's raffle handguns are an integral part of Guild income, but are more important as a showcase for members who want their work to be a part of gun has been worked on by the best pistolsmiths in the world today. The pride and prestige in the annual project is worth the small bit of time and labor it takes to complete your job. You can bill the Guild for the parts you use and your shipping expense, but I would like for you to donate your labor in exchange for the advertising you will receive when the pistol is shown in a two page four color spread in the American Handgunner magazine. This type of advertising would cost you close to $12,000 if you were to purchase it yourself. The American Handgunner offers this to Guild members for no charge. Your name, address and telephone number will be printed on the two page spread on a beautiful photograph taken by one of the worlds greatest firearms photographers, Ichiro Nagata. Send your bill for parts and shipping to Jim Stroh; Alpha Precision; 3238 Della Slaton Road; Comer, Ga. 30629. When you receive the pistol for your work, please place your backlog aside and do your job on the pistol quickly. With so many members working on the project it is imperative everybody turn their job out immediately. The Browning will be engraved by Brian Powley when the all the work is completed and Brian will need all the time he can get since engraving is a slow, time intensive endeavor. Finally, and most important, we are selling your name and the fame of your shop. When you are finished with your work please engrave your name and the name of your shop if you have one anywhere on the pistol you like. Keep in mind the pistol will be engraved, but it will be engravers job to work around your logo. If you do not have a way to place your name and logo on the pistol call me, Alex Hamilton and I will have it placed. Also, etch or cut your name as deep as possible so when the pistol is polished your name will remain intact.
